SAP systems offer the user a unique way of accessing transaction screens via shortcuts called Transaction Codes (more widely known T-Codes).
TCodes are usually four to five byte long (some are longer) combinations of characters that allow you to speed up navigation through the system by avoiding extensive clicking in the SAP navigation tree.
For example if you would like to go to the screen that will allow you to create a profit center you’d have to click you way though the following path: SAP ---> Accounting ---> Enterprise Control ---> Information system ---> Master data ---> Profit center ---> Create Profit Center.
To make your life easier SAP developed the concept of Transaction Codes and the same screen is accessible via T-Code: just type in NKE51 or KE51 into the command line box.
As T-Code sometimes may be hard to find we put together this reference site to allow you instant access to large number of T-Codes and corresponding descriptions.
Thank you for you visit.
